Garment of Praise

“(Jesus gave me) the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit.” Isaiah 61:3

This painting is the third in a series on Isaiah 61. The background alludes to brokenness , difficulties, and a heaviness that has penetrated the body, soul and spirit. The fabric represents a gift from Jesus: a light and easily worn garment of praise. This garment of praise is the antidote for the burdened, failing spirit.

God has made everything beautiful in its time (Eccl. 3:11). When we allow Jesus to touch our spirit of heaviness and work within us, we can’t help but be transformed. The results are beyond what we could do in our own human strength—the results are supernatural.
