Deanna Oelke

I grew up in a Baptist home, and was raised by parents that lived their Christian life authentically.  This strong biblical upbringing was foundational for my Christian maturity and for Holy Spirit to lead me into my spiritual gifts.  As an adult, I learned how to hear God’s voice for myself.  Within a small community of Christian women, I received the gift of prophecy from Holy Spirit.  We met weekly and practiced listening to God and prophesying to each other.  I experienced Holy Spirit as my personal mentor, teacher, guide and counsellor.  After being in this community for a number of months I experienced dramatic spiritual growth, transformation and inner healing. 

This experience of prophetic community motivated my friend and I to create a prophetic ministry.  We taught men, women and children how to hear God’s voice for themselves and others, and how to steward the gift of prophecy.  Within our community and prophetic culture, our people experienced an enriched relationship with God and dynamic spiritual transformation.

Eventually, God led me to re-integrate into established Christian institutions.  Leading Deeper communities is one way that God has provided opportunities for me to equip Christians in hearing God’s voice, to operate in the gift of prophecy and to equip leaders in creating prophetic communities.   

My prayer is that you will experience true biblical community within your Deeper community.  I pray that you may come to know practically, and through experience, the love of Christ which far surpasses mere knowledge; that you may be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  My hope is that God will accomplish infinitely more than you might ask or imagine!
